Renewable energy comes from natural sources that are inexhaustible or that regenerate quickly. These clean energy sources include:
- Solar energy: It is obtained by capturing sunlight and transforming it into electricity or heat using solar panels or thermal collectors.
- Wind energy: It is generated by the movement of wind that sets wind turbines in motion, converting the kinetic energy of the wind into electricity.
- Hydroelectric power: It is based on the potential energy of water, by building dams or hydroelectric plants, which transform the energy of moving water into electricity.
- Geothermal energy: It is extracted from the internal heat of the Earth, using it to produce electricity or for heating.
- Biomass energy: It is obtained from organic materials such as wood, agricultural or biodegradable waste, through combustion or fermentation, for the production of thermal or electrical energy.
- Ocean energy: Includes wave, current and temperature difference energy in the oceans used to generate electricity.
